OIT Networks has seen recent troubles with the Reichardt building core switch that has caused general disruption to wired and wireless network connectivity. Diagnosis of the issue has determined that the routing table limitations managed by the switch have been exceeded and the the switch requires a core adjustment, which requires an equipment reboot to take effect. The switch will be rebooted at 9:00PM and will cause a brief wired/wireless network outage. All connections are anticipated to restore after the reboot is completed.
Affected locations are the Reichardt Building and CCHRC. Wired, wireless and VoIP connections are expected to see disruption. Estimated time of recovery is less than 10 minutes.
